In the past 60 days, I have personally used these 5 secret hacks that got me over 50 million views and gained over 60,000 followers on TikTok, and today I want to share them with you.

Social media platforms are constantly changing their software and algorithms and it is important for content creators, business owners, and marketers to experiment and keep up to date on what is working in each platform.

I am proud to say I have managed to find to best 5 hacks to achieve success onTikTok in the past months, and I am going to share them with you.

Let’s dive into the 5 TikTok hacks:

  1. Hook With a Question
  2. Create Long Captions
  3. Give Them Something to Talk About
  4. Right Amount of Consistency
  5. Tell Your Audience About Your Post Schedule

Let’s go!

1. Hook With a Question

The first second of your video on TikTok is the most important.

I know it sounds pretty crazy to think about but imagine you are scrolling on TikTok and you come across a video that catches your attention, I am sure you stopped for it within the first few seconds of knowing what it is about.

Therefore, the start of your video has to engage viewers fast and efficiently.

So here is a neat little trick I have discovered that you can use, start with a vague but intriguing question.

For example, you want to do a TikTok about the 5 best cafes in a country. Instead of beginning the video with “Here are the 5 best cafes in (Insert Country)”, try doing “Can you really be treated like a king in these cafes in (Insert Country)?
A question creates curiosity in a viewer and pushes them to know the answer by watching to the end of your video. This creates for a greater watch time, thus, allowing the TikTok algorithms to recommend your video!

2. Create Long Captions

Each time a TikTok video ends, it will play back from the beginning and constantly loop over and over again until a user swipes again.

The cool thing is each time it loops, it gives you a view count and we can benefit from this feature by creating long captions!

Let’s say you have a video about steps on how to do your make up. The traditional approach would be to film yourself doing each step and then talking about it over them.

Now, this process could possibly work but it would not guarantee vitality as a viewer might drop off midway because of the longer duration of your video.

Instead try having a video of 2-5 seconds with screenshots of each step and a title saying “Steps in caption”

List down all the steps in your captions and let the viewers read them rather than you speaking about it.

This allows you to have better watch time overall because of the short duration and as each user is reading your caption, you are getting new views as your video plays in the background!

3. Give Them Something to Talk About

Another algorithm Tiktok values a lot is engagement. This means the comments and likes a video is getting.

While we cannot control a person liking a video, we can actually influence comments out.

The next time you film content, try putting an obvious “mistake” that will draw in comments.

For instance, you are filming yourself dancing to the latest TikTok trend. Rather than just dancing, you can put your dog behind you just staring at you dance.

Users will notice your dog and start commenting about it, therefore, increasing your engagement.

4. Right Amount of Consistency

We have all heard it a million times of posting consistently on social media and to a certain degree, it is true.

However, there is a sweet spot for the amount of content you should post on TikTok.

You do not want to be posting 2-3 videos daily as it will irritate your audience and some may end up unfollowing you.

But on the flipside, you do not want to post too little and impact the reach of your brand. You want to have the most optimum traffic to your page as much as possible!

The best number of times to post is one video per day, no more no less.

5. Tell Your Audience About Your Post Schedule

If you have been on Youtube alot, you will notice creators and channels all “advertising” the days and times they will be releasing a video.

Well, who says you cannot do that for TikTok!

Besides writing about what your page is about in your TikTok bio section, add in a line or two of when you will be uploading content. Provide them the days and time you will be throwing out new content.

I have in my bio “8pm EST daily”.
